With SmartHide 2.4.368 Portable Edition a new opportunity has been added. The thing is that you can use launch key /notapinstall which installs TAP driver in case if it became old or missed in the system. The key /notapinstall also prevents the remove of TAP driver from the system even if it has been installed by SmartHide itself. With SmartHide Portable standard launch (without key), software removes TAP driver when software is turned off. To activate the cancel of mandatory installation and deletion of TAP driver, you need to indicate a key /notapinstall in SmartHide Portable parameters string. For example, if you create a shortcut for SmartHide Portable .exe file (executable file), then the key /notapinstall should be indicated in this shortcut properties. Possible ways of using the key /notapinstall and the results of each particular situation: Situation1. SmartHide Portable is launched without key /notapinstall and there's no TAP driver in the system. Situation2. SmartHide Portable is launched without key /notapinstall and there's a TAP driver in the system. Situation3. SmartHide Portable is launched with the key /notapinstall and there's no TAP driver in the system. Situation4. SmartHide Portable is launched with the key /notapinstall and there's a TAP driver in the system. | |
